OT Step ladder shelf

>I have a heavy duty wooden step ladder without a shelf. Does anyone know of any article / site on making one; or have any suggestions. Thanks.

>Go to the hardware store ,find a similar sized ladder and take some measurements.You can get any hardware you'll need to mount it while you're there.---Jack

>The simple shelves pivot on the back legs, and the pivot is located so that the struts that support the shelf also extend under one of the steps, thus creating a cantilever effect that supports the shelf. I agree with Jack that a few minutes study of a ladder in the store will probably tell you all you need to know.
