Dovetail Saw handle size

>Hi, I'm deciding whether to buy a Lie-Nielsen, or Adria dovetail saw. I have handled the L-N, and found the handle a lil' small for my hand, and was wondering if the handle on the Adria, was a lil' bigger. Seems to me I saw a post a while back, which said the Adria's handle, was bigger. Thanks, Bob

I don't have, nor have I used the LN so I will so of no help there. Barry

>I've been told the Adria is larger, but no first hand experience. Handles are pretty easy to make in any case, so if neither saw fits, roll your own.

I'd be primarily interested to hear from someone who's held both. I'm quire sure I saw a post here once, regarding that, but that was a while back.

>I own the LN dovetail saw and indepence saw the handles are identical. I have used a Adria dovetail saw and I don't think there is any difference at all as far a size. The hump where the center of your palm goes is a little larger on the Adria. To get a idea of how large my hands are I wear a Medium large cadet golf glove and if you have LV close by a large in the Gripper glove is a perfect fit.

>Bob, Hard to measure but around 3 and 3/4 - possible 3 and 7/8 if you measure to the tip of the bottom wing. I am measuring straight across and ignoring the hump in the middle. The "oval" on the inside of the handle is 2 1/2 long, comfortable for 3 fingers. The hamdle is 7/8 thick. Good luck which ever one you get.
