He took part in this new series and says that for the most part it is quite good given the limitations of commercial TV. The producers took the time to search out knowledgeable people who are members of organizations like MWTCA and other tool collector groups. One small irritation to us and a major irritation to the knowledgeable contributors-- they were promised credit for their contributions and signed a contract stating such. typical "Hollywood", the lousy (fill in your choice of unflattering expletive) reneged on their word. Still, it should be a good series of 13 programs. I learned this from some of the contributors up at the Live Free or Die auction in Hillsbor NH over the lasst 2 days.

>That's the first I heard of a problem with credits. I haven't seen the episodes I am in but it's in my release and I cannot imagine they would renege (Credits cost nothing to put in). Now you are making me paranoid.

You'd think the old ones were inferior to today's teflon coated masterpieces. The plastic handles are fused together with intense sound waves. The steel comes in 7" rolls and you see the teeth being punched out but you see no sharpening. And they say today's models are not intended to ever be sharpened. I've seen enough to decide this series isn't for me.

>I haven't seen the edited series but I helped link the producers up with some of their sources. On the show on planes they went to Williamsburg for the wooden planes. shot shome highlights of my collection (I assume I look like a deeer in headlights) , and I think went to LN for some factory shots. So the show may not be perfectly historical the way hand tool folks like me might want but there may be some fun stuff to look at along the way.
