Socket Chisels and Wood Nymphs *LINK*

L. Hanson - N. Idaho

>Just me, dropping in to see what's up here at WC... I've been working on turning some new handles for some socket chisels won on ebay. I also have been encouraging a friend in his endeavor, carving wood spirits in native cottonwood bark - I think he's doing a great job, this photo is one of his.

I've put up a couple new sections on wood nymphs and socket chisel handles on my web site, if anyone is interested. The wood spirit one is just a page with some examples of his work. Just thought some of you might enjoy a little reading - I guess I'm also just exited to see a family member stretching out a bit, and wanted to share.

Thanks for reading!

I'm not complaining. I'm in favor of all the Red Green this site can handle. After all, he shows the kind of craftsmanship, inventiveness and originality to which we all aspire. "If at first you don't succeed, use more duct tape" is wisdom we all should take to heart.

To keep this on topic. Those carvings look great. (This coming from the guy who can't even draw stick people!)

Cheers,
