Oak Oil?

>Wifey ordered an outdoor bar set made in Indonesia, and the instruction sheet suggests wiping it with "teak or oak oil." I have never heard of oak oil. Is this just some orient/occident instruction sheet nonsense?
BTW, I clueless as to what wood it is made of. The ad said that it was a non-endangered tropical hardwood. (?) I have sent an email to the importer to see if he knows.
