>I purchased a set on ebay & have used two of them extensively. How good are they??? I don't know how to answer your question other than to say they have performed as well as I had hoped. They hold an edge for a long time...how long?? Much longer than my Marples. Mortised a couple of hinges and chopped 6 angled feet on a large hard maple chest. Chisel still cuts paper easily.
I don't know how they compare to Pfiel, LN, etc. The steel appears to be very good but the handles are a little on the blocky side for my taste. The handles must be made of a decent wood because they haven't shown any marring from the impact of my wooden hammer. I suspect the steel ring supporting the top of each handle is totally unnecessary. I think you have an excellent set of chisels and you can proudly use/display them ;>)!!
