The plane was well described, the service was excellent, and when he determined that he had charged more than neccessary for shipping he sent me ten dollars back! That is the kind of attitude that keeps the proper spirit alive in the old tool community.

He didn't know me from Adam when he loaned me one of his own personal Stanley Everlast chisels for a test I was conducting. He even let me do some work on on the face so all the tools in my test were in the same condition (hope I didn't go too far, Walt).

If you are looking for good user tools, he's a great place to stop. He always has more Witherby chisels than anyone else.

He's one of those guys that you hesitate to tell others about because you don't want somebody else having a first crack at some new tools! Like Chris, I am always running over my tool budget...
