How you coming along on that 23 tons of rock?

Well, I'm probably going to take some measurements and make a close fascimile of it. Until then, I'll probably use it. One interesting thing I forgot to note. There is a metal tag with an employee number stamped on it under the lock. I also found what looks like a stamped, metal key(?) tag amoungst the detritus floating in the bottom of the tool chest. I had forgotten about some of the papers we had found in the chest. LOML was cleaning up her computer desk a couple of days ago and found an envelope with two awards of merit. One was given in 1947 for 24 years of service and the other for 25 years of service in 1948. The gentleman worked for the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills. I think there were some other papers, too, but you're guess is as good as mine as to where they are, lol. I do still have the North Bros. drill catalogue that I found in the chest.

Ooooooooooooooo, got some papers and other bits and pieces to go along with it eh? That's way cool. Best get those papers into some type of acid free protectors for save keeping.

>Nah...I'm not going to put in my truck. I have a large Cedar chest salvaged from the dump or the slightly smaller one I made out of Alpine, (rough side out), with the inlaid frame and panel lid that will go in my truck.
I've somehow misplaced my North Bros. flyer, darnit! It is "tool porn" of the highest order, or a wish list, if you please.

>I shipped that thing you wanted yesterday so I would be checking the mail on monday befor the wife gets home. Thanks for the lathe I will be going to pick up a cast iron treddal made by International Harvister in the morning to mount it on. I can't make sinse of all the oak parts that are suposed to me the wooden treddal for it. and it is missing the big wheel. This is going to be a rockin good Weekend!!

I think we're all moved in at this point, all major intial projects are done. Of course there's the Barn to striaght out, my side of the garage to unload and build a work shop ( still haven't got all the hardware put away {Unless that is the 23 tons you were referring to} ).
BUT, other than that, WE"RE IN!
