>I have one just like it, only in much more serious need of refinishing. In case anyone doesn't recognize it, these things are called "barrister's bookcases." They are modular (stackable, to any height you feel comfortable), with a separate base/foot section and separate top. The idea was to buy new sections as your collection of law books grew. The glass fronts swing out, and then roll back out of the way, above the books. They were mass produced in the early to mid 20th Century, usually from decent quality hardwoods.

Nice find tho. Who in the name of blue blazes would toss such a nice cabinet? Can't believe a full blood Yankee would do that. What you doing at the dump anyways, don't you have some stone to shovel or something. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh! Coarse, if I was you I'd be at the dump everyday. Man, you're soon to miss that barn REAL BAD!
