Source for bench screw nuts

>I have a Record bench screw that has a large oval nut. It's 3 3/4" wide and is causing design problems for the bench vise I want to make. Does anyone know of a source for nuts (the square kind)? This screw is 1 1/8" thick. I also need a nut for a 1" thick screw. Thanks!

>The size will be easy to find in a industrial supply house but will the thread's match. I don't hold out much hope for a square nut but octagonal. Might want to think about grinding the nut you have. You can buy threaded rod up to 3" we use it on hydraulic cylinders.
