>...on the WWW this morning, I went over to the Electronic Neanderthal for the first time in a couple years. I was curious about whether there were many new old-tool dealers and how recent times had affected the oldtimers' tool lineup and prices.

Not anyone new really and many of the smaller guys now have dead links. Most of the big guys still have sites up. It seems to me that the gap between dealer prices and ebay prices has widened considerably, mostly from the latter falling (or should it be the ladder falling). At least this is so from comparison shopping a couple of common benchmarks: the Bailey #4 and the Bedrock #604.

It makes me wonder if any of you are buying from the dealer sites?
