>The end of June, 2003, I bid on two kitchens to build and install in my spare time figuring I might get one job, and ended up getting both. The first kitchen was done just before Christmas, and the second kitchen was done Saturday except for a few very minor details. This was an extreme amount of work to do in my spare time out of my little shop, and you would not believe how relieved I am that they are done. You also would not believe the amount of dust that builds up inside tool cabinets from sanding over a hundred kitchen doors with a Dynabrade air sander. Another thing I have to contend with is all those little bits of tools here and there that I picked up and threw on the shelf behind my bench while I was doing all this work, with no time to organize and clean up the tools. So this morning before heading to the flea market I took everything off the shelf, out of the cabinets and off the pegboard on the wall behind my bench, piling them on convenient surfaces. Now all I have to do is get rid of the stuff I don't want, and clean up and put away the tools I plan on keeping.
The flea market was fun but almost a complete bust. We left here about 10:30 in the morning with my mother-in-law and I power walked almost the whole market in Shipshewana, IN; there were roughly 200,000 people there, and three tools. I did buy some auger bits that looked like they may have been NOS out of an old hardware, #4, 5, 8, and 9 that are only 5" long overall; I hadn't seen these short auger bits before that I can recall, and they look like they will provide a little better tilt control maybe, should be fun to try out.
