>Please join us tonight at 9:30 EDT for a chat with Hand Tools denizen, Chris Schwarz, who happens to be the executive editor of Popular Woodworking magazine.

Chris has brought a refreshing hand-tool slant to PW editorial and would love to hear some feedback from this group, which is certainly one of the most erudite bunch of hand tool users on the planet.

Join us. Besides being a unique opportunity to talk in real time with a top magazine editor, it is a chance to find out more about what goes into making a magazine, how editorial is selected and planned, how to submit your own ideas and queries for possible publication, and where Popular Woodworking is heading from here.

And, for a limited time, you can click through to a special offer of 14 issues of PW for $19.96. That may be the lowest price I've ever seen for a magazine of this quality. Click the link below if you are interested.

Hope to see you in the chatroom tonight!

>Ellis,

The PW form says the price is $19.96 for 14 issues. Still a very good price, but you will want to update the text of this message, and probably those you are posting on the other fora.

Oops. I stand corrected. Thanks!

Thanks, William.

Yes, you can renew at that price.

Christopher Schwarz

>Here's how (according to my circulation manager).

Simply print out the offer from the page on our site (the link is in Ellis' post above) and attach it to your renewal form when you mail it in. We'll honor the lower price for your renewal.

I know it's not all high-tech and stuff, but it will work.

>I wanted to let you know I became a first time subscriber this morning in part because of the offer but more because you personally do a wonderful job representing your publication on this forum. I think it is fantastic that you are staying in touch with your readers and providing real-time info.

Oh, and I can't wait to read more about your coverage on handtools!

Good deal!

>Chris,

I am disappointed that I won't be able to attend the chat, but I wanted to say "well done" on the magazine. I like the balance your team of editors has struck between hand- and power-tool use. I, too, appreciate the fact that you are willing to take the time to participate on this forum. Good luck with the chat tonight.

>I hope your "folks" realize how many subscriptions you are responsible for! I had let mine lapse a long time ago, but I renewed yesterday because of the good price and your exposure here. Keep up the good work! Much appreciated.
