Brimfield Fair - Brimfield, Massachusetts

Dave W

>Brimfield is in Massachusetts. They host an annual extravaganza of a fair at which virtually everything under the sun is sold by independent dealers. It's an on-the-lawn, sell-from-the-back-of-the-truck kind of thing. Huge.

>Thanks for the response. I've been waiting two days for a response to that very simple question. I was starting to think people didn't want too much competition at the tool sales.

I thought that was in Massachusetts just wasn't sure. I remember years ago Grafton and Hubbardston Mass. both had pretty big ongoing flea markets. I wish I was close enough for a sunday flea market cruise now and then. All we get around here are yard sales.---Crackerjack

>Guys:

Went today and picked up a Stanley 151 shave and a MF low angle 56 block. Good condition, reasonable price. Was looking at a MF 07 rabbet block, but couldn't part with the $135 they wanted. I'll keep the Stanley 140 I have for now.

Many dealers overpriced on tools, especially collectables. Maybe better pickings in July or September.
