>After using my buddy's LV power sharpener the last few days I am sold, so I am gonna order me one. So for those who use it, what abrasives do you use? And what grits would you recommend I order.

My intial thoughts were to get the 3M paper from Joel, as his prices are cheaper than LV. And for the coarser grits just use high quality sheets instead of the expensive Zirocnia 5$ LV discs? And can anyone give me a rough idea of how long you keep the sandpaper on the disc, .i.e., how many irons do you sharpen before changing the paper?

18008316066 here is who I get mine from. I think the 8" discs I get are about 2.50 each PSA backed. sheets won't hold up on the 80 grit. I get quite a few irons out of one disc. they can make most of the discs you want in any grit or paper type.
