>but I've seen a few of them sold at auctions out here in farm country. Never saw a green one though. I guess the wire goes in the slot between the handle and the base, and the base is levered against the post. The handle should be free to pivot and lock the wire. IIRC there are little teeth in each end of the slot to grip the wire.
