>Ok let me get this right you want me to allow all of you to send me one drawer pull so I will never forget this place? is that right? it sounds like a great idea! I have three boxes like this one under my bench. this is the first one that is complete the other two need to have the rest of the drawers made well each one has one drawer done so far. I know the top drawer is for layout tools and the next one is for dove tail chisels as this box will open up on the dove tail vice side of the bench. The third drawer will probably have planes for cleaning them puppies up as well as plane for cutting the drawer bottom groves. after that I am not sure. These boxes fit on the streachers of the bench. it looks like I will need a total of 21 pulls. 20 because I will have to add one myself.

>Here is an angle picture so you get more of an idea how the profile of the top of the drawers looks. they all have a bead across the bottom. sinse this will be a memory box I guess it won't matter if they have one screw hole or two I will match them to the drawer. smallest drawer is 1 3/4" deep and the deepest is 5"

>That is what I did on my apathacary chest that I use for parts storage. only differance is I used a power r**t*r with a dove tail bit on the front so I could slide in some card stock and mark what is in the drawer with out writing on the drawer it's self.

>How do you drill mounting holes in an old chisel? or should I just epoxy the stand off from some old pulls to the chisels to make the pulls? I think it would be hard on a drill bit going through an old chisel.

I`d braze it

Bob Hackett

>I`d just braze a couple threaded barrels on the back of the blade and use machine bolts thru the drawer front.I`ve never had much luck with solder on anything except electrical stuff.I`m know for running into things like drawer pulls and shock testing them when least expected so I like to make `em bulletproof. They can bend,as long as they don`t break.
