Need Table Advice

Mike Jurnigan from Suffolk, VA

>I have been asked to give an estimate on a round pedestal table that will comfortably seat six people. Does anybody have an idea as to what would be a good diameter or what is the proper elbow room per person? Also, she wants an antique white finish. Any suggestions.

>We have a 54in round table that seats six quite comfortably. But it is difficult to find properly fitting pre-made tablecloths for that diameter. Also it is a two sided drop leaf table and that makes it more flexible in different size dining areas. IMO a 48in or 52in diameter max table top, especially if all one piece, would be a better choice. good luck.

>A 60" seats 8 (in a cramped fashion) and 6 quite comfortably. I always use about a 28" measurement for seating at tables. A 52" would just work. Let the tablecloth hangover a bit.
