My New LN Chisels...

john jesseph

>Found a package from LN on the porch when I got home from work today. I recieved word last week that LN was shipping chisels, and here they are. I have to say that they have done a nice job with the fit and finish, better than I have seen in other LN tools. I am heading out to the shop to hone them and try them out. I also got some nice little violin planes from Sai Gao, so I have some tweeking to do....

>Hi David. I got the screw caps. Elegantly simple, beautiful little tools. Got called back to work before I got out to the shop, and worse yet, I can't find the box with the violin tools, maybe they got thrown into the trash! Three planes, a post setter, and soundhole cutter. Gotta go home and start scrounging!!!!!!!!!

>John,

You wrote "...I also got some nice little violin planes from Sai Gao..." - what size are these, how much and where did you get them? What do you think of them? I might be interested.

>Thanks for asking! Yes, I did, at the bottom of a trash bag in the garage! They were all wrapped in express mail packing in an express mail box, and my wife thought it was trash. I was worried that I wouldn't find them....

>Whenever my Mom visits she always starts cleaning up and throwing things away. I'm always worried she throws away good things and I can't find anything anymore. I'm always sort of glad when she leaves. Sort of.
