>I've heard of Beaver, ESteel, and Anton Berg Chisels from Sweden. Matter of fact, I kind of collect the Berg's, okay, I do collect Berg's.

Today while on my way to work I stopped of at a pawn shop where I bought a Wallins Sweden 1/8" chisel. Anybody heard or seen a Wallin's

chisels before?

When looking into the display case I thought I saw two Berg chisels, one was a 1/4" socket unused, hardware store shiny Berg, the other a

1/8" Wallins.

They aren't at the store anymore, they are sitting on my desk.

I gotta problem, Dan Clermont

>Don't leave over the top of the desk while admiring your chisels. Not only is drool hellish on most surface finishes, it can corrode good steel.

>You city has a better grade of pawn shop than we do most every thing is trashed around here and chisels are thrown in with the screw drivers.

>Hey Ernie,

Pickings are kind of scarce here also but I have been quite lucky over the years purchasing allot of nice Type 11-13 Baileys and Type 5-7 Bedrocks from a local Luthier who has decided he's got too many. He hates selling on EBay and always offers things to me at a good price. Other then that old tools are either overpriced or pretty ugly.

Went back to the store today and picked up a Bailey 4 1/2C Type 13 with a sweetheart blade for about $35US. I don't need it but the Rosewood knob and tote were REALLY NICE! The plane itself has a missing chunk on the front left cheek (tiny one, I had to look hard to see) and the leveer cap was chipped cause some $&^%&#^&&*$& buggah must have tried removing the chip breaker with it. Gonna maybe sell the plane as parts or try to sell it on EBay tuned up without the knob and tote. Don't know yet but really can't justify another smoother.
