>It seems like I've been working on these shelves forever but it has really only been six months. Finally I can show WIP pics. The shelves are from Pottery Barn but I chose African mahogany instead of mdf.
Hand planes, hand scraper, hand saw, hand sand, and router.

 | This is our favorite shelf. The stripes in the mahogany show up the best. Lesson #50,001, purchase all wood at the same time. |
 | Pretty good job of grain matching for my fist time doing a glue up. Edge jointed with #7, yellow glue, pipe clamps. |

Still need to do the frame pieces and then starting putting the whole thing together. Thanks for the help so far.
