ridgid hand tools
Steve
>I bought a set of Ridgid Screwdrivers (the ones with bright orange handles) from Home Depot. Ive used them about a year, very light usage in my shop. I noticed that I keep reaching for some older craftsman or other odds and ends screw drivers, because it seems the Ridgid phillips screwdrivers just didnt seem to want to grab the screw. Last night, I looked at the Ridgid set with a bright light and magnifying glass, and its clear the tips of the phillips drivers are fairly worn. To compare, I looked at the tip of same size craftsman screwdriver, and its in much better shape even thought its many years older.
Im going to exchange the Ridgid for new ones soon. But Im wondering, has anyone else noticed that the tips of these screwdrivers seem to be a little soft? My home depot also carries the Husky brand and Stanley brand - - would I be better off to ask for one of these brands in exchange?
Thanks for any advice. Steve
