Found a good price on Two Cherry Mortice chisels *LINK*

Wendell @ Murphy, TX

>I was looking at my Excel spread sheet of tools to buy and the best internet prices. Everybody has one of these spread sheets right :) I noticed that I had a set of 4 TC mortice chisel from Hartville Tools listed as the cheapest price at $189.99. I went to their website and found that they have the set of chisels on sale right now for $139.96, that's like buy three chisels get one free! Too bad my tool budget is shot for this month :( Standard disclaimer, no affiliation other than satisfied customer.

Garrett wade has good prices too! *LINK*

>Amazingly, Garrett Wade has good prices on the Two Cherries mortise chisels. Their 4 piece set for $140 has the 3, 6, 10, 12 mm sizes. Not as good as the 6, 8, 10, 12 offered by Hartville Tool. BUT, the regular individual prices for the Two Cherries mortise chisels are much better at Garrett Wade. So if you really only wanted one or two sizes, look at Garrett Wade.

>Iwas surprised to find a set of Two Cherries at Jamestown distributors for $158.35. That's for a set of 6 chisels. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 1". That's from thier catalog, I expect that it's actually the metric equivalent. I'm waiting on my set now.

Can you cancel your order from Jamestown? *LINK*

Russell Seaton

>And get them for much cheaper anywhere else. The museum of Woodworking, a sponsor of Wood Central, has them for $145.16 in a wooden box. Or only $130.75 without a wooden box. And for real cheap, Lee Valley has the Hirsch 6 piece set, same tools with a different name, for $87. See sites below. All of these, including the Jamestown, are the bevel edge regular tools, not the mortise tools. The mortise chisels are of course completely different tools.

Kirschen clones

Adam Cherubini, NJ

>I'd check out the clones as well if you are shopping for a good deal. Highland Hardware is selling Hirsch mortisers for $33 or so. As far as I know, ECE, ULMIA, Two Cherries and Hirsch are all the same.
