>I've had one of Dave's Shaves for about three years and I really like it. The iron is great and once you get the hang of adjusting the iron they're very simple to set and use.

I have a couple of Stanley curved shaves but I don't use them very often; just for really tight radii. Most of the time the straight shave does the work just fine.

Dave is also a really nice chap and a pleasure to to work with - something to be said for supporting a company producing a quality tool in today's world of throw away products ... rj

>Here are a bunch of pics of shaves I made with Kevin Brennan's blades (KCWTW). Increment the link from 003 through 008, and 010 His blades are really nice and the shaves are not too difficult using Teachshave as a guide.

>If you don't want to build your own, the Veritas low angle (good for convex or concave radii) or the new standard angle shaves (round bottom handy for concave radii) sold by Lee Valley are both excellent choices and good values. They are now on the top shelf of my favorites rack.
