Keen Kutter back saw question

>I mentioned in an earlier post that I had acquired a very nice Keen Kutter back saw, a 14" steel backed saw with a beautiful fruitwood handle, and the Keen Kutter/EC Simmons medalion. My question remains: who made the saw for EC Simmons, or did they have their own manufacturing plants, as they produced a variety of tools? It is in need of jointing and sharpening, but should be a nice user.

According to Erv Schaffer's "Hand Saw Makers of North America", Keen Kutter saws distributed by E. C. Simmons, a large hardware wholesaler from St. Louis, were made by Disston.

Some of you may remember that I bought a combination backsaw a while back (one of those made by Bishop)that you can reverse the blade in order to cut either rip or crosscut. After cleaning the saw some, I found a Keen Kutter etch on the blade. I know that Disston made a saw like this but the one that I have is definitely a Bishop. SO, it appears that at least some of the saws made for Keen Kutter were made by Bishop.
