finishers plane

>Hi Y'all,

Ernie, these little planes were used by finishers.

When you use water putty or stopping to fill a nail hole, you don't want to flatten it down too much or it will smear and fill too large an area of grain around the hole. So, to avoid this and to reduce spot sanding, the stopping is left proud and shaved after it is dry. Sounds like you got one that is suitable for floors.
