Woodcraft confusion

Michael Kieta

>I'm confused! I received a card from Woodcraft announcing their 10% off sale on everything for February 27th, but the link here at WC says the sale is on Feb 26th, and the LN plane I want to buy is already marked 10% off, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to get it for a total of 20% off, although I kinda doubt that, but I want to believe so I'm clapping my hands, which for you younger guys is a reference to Mary Martin as Peter Pan trying to get us kids to revive Tinker Bell and I think I've just hijacked my own message!

Anyone know which day will have the sale and whether I'm likely to get my 20%?

Michael in slightly snowy Germany

>The card I got says the 26th for internet, stores,or catalog.. The people at my local woodcraft said the 26th. Maybe your store is having another sale the day after.

They usually have a disclaimer such as "Not to be combined with other discounts" when such is the case. I didn't see anything like that on the ad.Otherwise I have no idea.---Jack

>I'd work with your store on which day, but the 10% cannont be combined. If you want the Lie-Nielsen get it now, while they still have it in stock.

Even with the 10% the dovetail saw I just purchased would have been more at Woodcraft even before taxes. I purchased it from Fine Tool Journal for $113 delivered. Woodcraft wanted $126 plus sales tax, or roughly $132.

I love Woodcraft, but the $20 dollars purchased some other tools.

>I was interested in the same thing--maybe getting 20% off a LN plane. I was told that Woodcraft doesn't combine discounts so I went ahead and bought the plane. The store sale (at least at the one in Franklin, TN) is tomorrow, Thursday.

>If you also check their sales flyer, the sale ends on 2/25. They do this on purpose, thus the day they are giving 10%, they are no longer on sale.

>This info comes from my father-in-law, who works at our local Woodcraft store.

The sale on Lie-Nielsen planes ends today, Wednesday, February 25th. If they don't have the plane you want in stock, as long as you order it before the end of the day today, you get 10% off. This is the case with the LN plane I ordered yesterday (drive by gloat!)

The 10% off everything in the store sale is tomorrow, Thursday, February 26th.

The sale is on Friday, here.

>My post card reads,

"10% off everything one day only friday february 27th Woodcraft Stores Catalog Internet" [sic]

I guess that they are varying it around the country.
