>I think it used to be a site called "Rusty Tool Restoration" where I found my first article on japanning. There is good info in the article on this site, but leaves some questions, whereas the article I had found pretty much went into extreme detail. I have not been able to find that site, but poking around this morning I found another good read on japanning and have linked it below. I am also having fun with my CD burner so if the site is ever down or gone for good I have a copy. For those of you trying out japanning, I recommend reading this page and the article here on Woodcentral to get a really good overview of what you are attempting. And now that I'm on this track, I might as well japan a few planes myself.
