>Just curious...is there a general consensus on where (grit sandpaper on SS system) to refresh modreately dull plane irons with a 5 degree microbevel? Should I go back down and rework the original bevel or just touch up the micro? Thanks.

>Touching up the mirco bevel is where it's at. My favourite to use by hand is the finest micro abrasive that LV sells someone said that Japanese woodworker sells it cheaper. I don't buy the plain one.
