Rob Lee, you're a bad, bad man...

>Not even two days out from shaking hands with my tablesaw, and I get the latest Lee Valley tool porn catalog in the mail. Don't know if it's salting an open wound or kicking a guy when he's down. Wrong, wrong, wrong... ;)

Scott, tongue firmly in cheek and hand firmly in gauze

No, No Scott

>He's getting you ready to go totaly hand tool, well maybe keep the band saw around. If'in I was going to shake hands with a power saw I'd rather it be a BS instead of a TS.

Scott, Who's TS is mostly an assembly table, finishing now.

Works too fast also...

>For those following along, I gave my wife a list of short list tools as possible birthday presents. After a couple days she says that if I want one of those "planers" to go ahead and order it. Since the decision was now mine, I had to go with the most expensive item on the list, a LV #4 1/2.

I submitted my order on Tuesday, Lee Valley shipped it the same day and FedEx delivered it yesterday. Good news, right? Well my wife is saying that I have to wait until my birthday on the 22nd. WHAT?!? My wife will be out of town next week, so if Mr. Lee had waited a few days *I* would have received the shipment and that plane would be all mine!!

Pay back I guess....I bought my wife a Creative Memories bag for her scrapbooking stuff. She new I had it but I did not give it to her until her birthday. Damn, that was a bad idea!

Rob: If you see a sudden spike in hand tool purchases, you might want to send a commission check to Scott. ;-)
