My weekend chisel rack.

Will in K.C.

>This is the chisel rack I made this weekend. It holds my favorites. It is made from cheap pine scraps with cheap stain and cheap varnish. My other chisels will get an identical rack (bigger). The rack is held to the wall on a "lift out" cleat. The cleat is a piece (about one inch smaller all around than the rack's back) ripped at a 45 degree angle. One half attached to the rack and the other to the wall. It just sits solidly on that angle. Anyway, the rest is probably obvious. Thank you, to everyone who posted suggestions last week!!

>Nice job, Will. I tried one similar to that but the pine broke between the cuts. I need to try again with some better wood.

OT: Lonnie is a hoot.

OT again: If you didn't get my email, we're having breakfast at 8:30 at Tippins in Overland Park the 14th then heading to the WW show.

>Roger,

Yes, I got your email and am planning to meet you all at Tippins. Where is that Tippins? I am not that far from O.P. so I am familiar with most areas.

I am aware that making the chisel rack from pine was risky. I think I made the teeth big enough that I shouldn't have a problem. However, if it breaks I won't be heartbroken. I will make the next one from white oak.

>Here's the address:

7600 W 110th St # 200 Overland Park, KS.

It looks to be just north of College Blvd, west of Metcalf. The show is at 6800 W 115th so they are pretty close.

Your rack just proves you're not as hamfisted as I am.

>I'll see you about 7:15. They are offering free spouse admission. Do you still have your Rupert skirt? You could save a few bucks.

>Do I need to throw some white oak in the trunk of rogers car? I have lots of scraps in the 6"X24" range some larger but the pile is getting smaller. probably only half a garage full now
