We owe thanks to Norm...

>Howdy all,
There are several among our group who are completely electron-free in the workshop. This message is geared toward the rest of us.
I was using my t*b*esaw last night while cutting a dado in some plywood. (No dado planes in my inventory). I've done this a hundred times before. A piece of the plywood de-bonded and shot out at high velocity and caught me square in the eye. Thankfully I was wearing safety glasses as I always do when killing electrons. No damage done except to my nerves.
So, thank you to Norm Abrams (sp). You probably know that at the beginning of each show he mentions shop safety and safety glasses. If in years to come he is remembered for nothing else, let this part of his show be his legacy. He is encouraging newbies and old pros to be safe.
Take care everyone and play safe!
