>Bill, The royal palace (The Iolani Palace) is a must. It is located in the downtown Honolulu area and has tours. Suggest a reservation. There is a wonderful history of HI that most of us are completely unaware of and the tour at the Iolani will make it all come to focus. Phil

>Bill: Went to high school on the island of Oahu but have not been back for a few years so info might be slightly outdated. There is a lumber yard by the airport that stocks koa and some other south pacific type woods. Can't remember the name right off hand but seems to be two names with one something like McArthur. There is also a store in the Aloha towers mall area near Hooters that sells fine furniture crafted from koa, etc. Beautiful stuff. Funny though, even found some items made in a small town noth of Seattle, my current home. The Woodcraft store is the biggest I have ever seen. Even sells industrial-sized tools.
