Forget the video, what about the chisels?

Martin, from Granbury

>Well, I am only half kidding...I am also interested in the video.

When are the new chisels going to be on sale?

Also, any new planes on the horizon?

I am falling down the slippery slope...

Jim Shaver - Oakville, Ontario

>Hi Martin,

I used to ask that question as well, I waited and waited...I am not sure if they know when they will have chisels.

I do enjoy the video's that Rob makes, I hear the new one is really good...hoping to see it soon myself.

Take care,

Jim (Two Cherries)

Re: Forget the video, what about the chisels?

William R. Duffield, on the Cohansey

>The last time I talked to Tom, he was really hopefull that they would have sets of the most desirable sizes available this month. My further understanding was that they were still building the chisel production facility, so I'm guessing that at the onset, the chisels would be available only in limited sets, in limited quantities, at best.

Those who think they need the Wal-Mart type of instant-gratification "buy-it-now" experience need to lower their standards.

My best advise on getting the latest and greatest from L-N is to e-mail or write or call them as soon as a new product is rumored, and put yourself on their list for that product. This strategy gives you the gloatable advantage of reporting on your beta-test of the tool and your pre-production price. I'm still waiting patiently for my preproduction prototype #72 1/2 chamfer plane, and I don't care that I can get an excellent block plane with an excellent chamfer attachment that works just as well from Rob Lee, right now. In this particular case, I want the L-N, and in the meantime, I'll just have to make do with a plain block plane and skill, or a Nahmite routah.

>Oooohhh, I forgot about the 72....

Another tool to look forward to. It uses the same cutters as the #66, right?

>Hi Greg, shoot went very well, 4 cameras this time including a remote overhead, wish we had that one on the first dovetail video. Waiting for the first edit call, expect to see these ship in Feb. Had a new guest this time, Mark Eaton, a well known Canadian power tool expert, brought him over from the dark side.
