ebay trends???

>For you that have been watching the old tool market on ebay longer than I (6 months), have you noticed ups and downs in certain tools' prices or have most just steadily increased over time? I ask this because it seems like the market for chisels, especially now seems to be much more than a couple months ago. Thanks as always.

>I watch ebay as well, but more on the power tool side. If you are seeing a upswing now, it may be related to the season. Right now is prime time for woodworking, shows, shop time, etc... January and February are typically good months for me.

>It has always cycled on different types of tools. A couple of years ago, FWW did an article on #40 scrub planes and they went nuts after doing nothing forever. Typically, they return to a more sane level after awhile. Some really scarce items continue to go up, but most cycle within a range with maybe a gentle upward trend. As more and more stuff has hit Ebay, some things have gotten alot cheaper.
