tool kit for a 6yr. old!!!

>It looks like Steve has jumped the gun. Our own Steve Wargo who posted earlier about buying his 6yr.old a Lie Nielson number two has created a beautiful tool chest to contain it. I am not sure if his son will appreciate it now, but the sides are veneered in old growth Brazillian Rosewood. The top panel is a four way book match in birdseye maple and has a mahogany frame. All of the tools (chisels, dovetail saw, marking gauge, rasp, plane) have their own little compartments. Hopefully he will post pics. It came out wonderfully.

>I'll post pictures after I finish with all the hardware installation. And yes I'm well aware of the fact that I've gone completely overboard on this but I'm just a little excited about having a new shop buddy.

>Well I finally got around to posting the images of my son's tool chest. It is about 18" wide and 9 " deep. Just the right size for his little hands. He's actually been practicing cutting straight lines (still needs work, he is only 6) and very much loves the rasp and smoothing plane. He mostly justs likes to make dust and shavings. I hope I'm posting the lik to the page here correctly.
