Weekend Projects

Ernie Miller Topeka

>With the holliday tomarrow I have decided to take friday off also and make it a four day weekend. Wohoo!! I hope to get some work on the bench storage done. I might hang some more shelves in the shop and will definatly hang one in the sharpening shop. I need to think about laying out boards for a blanket chect for the wife. She wants it made out of mahogany I think I have enough. but it could end up being cherry? who knows. I think I need another saw till and some chisel storage but I should wait untill the bench drawers are finished as they could go in a drawer. I also need to make some hard wood drawer slides. I have a drawer that will be going in to the bench from the end that holds 4' levels and such and it needs completed befor the tool boxes get suspended between the bottom streachers. Every One Have A Safe and ROCKIN Good Weekend!!!! Ernie

>Gonna drive over to NJ to Bob Marino's and pick up his old dust collector. The big bandsaw is ready to ship from Felder, who took it in on trade from the U.S. Senate. And I don't want to run the saw without dust collection.

Three phase, here I come. (Not the dust collector, though.)

Have a great Birthday!

Brad in Ottawa

>Happy Birthday Ernie,

Man I was stumped! Couldn't think of another holiday this month for the USA. I was also beginning to get jealous! Texas, MLK day and now some mysterious holiday!

Take the day off you deserve it!

>Ernie works for the state. They get all kinds of holidays. Where I work we might get President's day off but only if George & Abe come back to life.

I did it!

Don Thompson, Cutler Ridge, South of Miami FL

>I finally finished the eight drawers to go under my [unmentionable power tool] bench, including modifying the one that I made one inch too wide (forgot about the drawer-slide clearance). I know that it does not sound like much, but what with warping plywood (and here I thought it would stay flat), an unsquare housing, and the ubiquitous honeydo list, it took forever. Even got to use an LN 073 and an LN 99 to fit things together properly. And my old-style Knight smoother.

Next, a face frame for doors to keep dust off the stuff in the drawers.
