>padouk is a cool wood. but the dust is very bad. not just if your allergic but because it makes so much fine sawdust. it is one of the worst woods for that.
remember it is a oily wood and regular glues don't work well on it. I like to freshly mill/sand it then dampen both sides and use a good poly.
looks good with sellac or oil/wax
