Buck Chisels Gloat & ideas?

Stephen Malm

>Hi Kids,

Dropped by to get your opinion on storing chisels & add a minor gloat also...

Several years ago, I purchased a complete set of Buck cranked neck gouges that had been previously owned by a pattern maker - they are old, and all are in great condition.

I'm presently retrofitting my shop (AKA, The Underground Balloon works) and have decided to build a wall cabinet for storing the Buck's, and my carving chisels. The cabinet will have to house ~50 chisels.

Any suggestions???

>My non-matched set of Buck crank-necks (you got the 1/8" one?) are housed in a drawer, but I'm not very satisfied with it. Have you checked out Tolpin's "the Toolbox Book"? Nothing exactly like what you want, but lots of good ideas that maybe you could adapt.
