Mark you calendars folks

Dave Anderson Chester, NH

>This is the first heads up for us slope browed and knuckle dragging hand tool users. The last weekend in June (25th & 26th) will be the 14th Annual Wood Days Festival at the Canterbury NH Shaker Village. As usual there will be all sorts of woodworking events, good food, and great live bluegrass music. This is a fairly heavily hand tool oriented event though electron powered lathes and a few other poweer tools are in evidence. Demonstrators usually include hand tool makers, timber framers, furniture makers, wood canvas canoe makers, rush seat makers, and a bunch of other stuff.

More info to follow later in the year.

>Hello All

This is a great event! I went for the first time last year and the weather was beautiful, the crowds were good, people friendly and the demonstrations were excellent. (Food and music were pretty good too!) I came away with lots of solid information from the demonstrations and inspiration from furniture makers and other vendors. Came away with a Woodjoy square and a Woodjoy marking gauge as well.

The Shaker Village is fascinating and the grounds are beautiful. All in all, a great day away from the city.
