Saw Till

>Finaly got around to banging out a simple saw till today. Not as nice as many I have seen here, but better then hanging them on nails. Only problem is, I only have room for 2 more saws! (1 of these doesn't belong to me) Even found a place to hang my drawknife so I won't keep trimming my fingertips.

>Nice simple design, Angelo. I've got a saw till on my round tuit list, and this idea's going in the round tuit file.

>At what level is the saw till? Is the top of it at chest level? I ask because I'm trying to picture what your motion is when you lift a saw out of the till.

>Angelo,

Your saw collection is similar to mine: How do you differentiate between them? I shamfully must admit that I have been writing PPI and Cut on them with a Sharpie. None of the pix of other saw storage places seem to show such crude markings. Maybe its just my rotten close-up vision.

Maybe I need a poster....

>Don,

Since there are so few, and the handles are all unique, I just sorta remeber which handle goues with what set, etc. Usually that is.

>The top of the handles are just about at eye level, which for me is about 6 ft. To remove the large saws, I lift up slightly and pivot the handle down. The toe area rubs on one of the cross braces. Seems to work for me but I hadn't given it any thought till now.
