Fowler hand planes?

>while cleaning out my deceased uncles basement i came across a plane. i believe it is a scrub plane and is marked Fowler. it has an interesting mark on it...like an oval with 2 vertical line thru it...( i know less about computers than i do about hand tools or i'd post a sketch of it) i'd appreciate any info you can share with me. a search of the net yielded nothing. thanks

>Chris: Smith's PTAMPIA II says planes marked Fowler were made by Peck, Stow & Wilcox ca. 1925. While the Fowler is thought to be a brand name used by someone PS&W made the planes for (rather than a PS&W brand name), Smith did not know who that someone was. PS&W was based in Southington, CT, but had some plants elsewhere. Bob
