Bill, the Bob Evans is close to the the Woodcraft store in Springfield VA. About as far from the store as the Hard Times Cafe but in the other direction. It is right along side I 95 on the southbound side just outside the beltway(I 495/ I 95). I will inform other posters in my address book that might not be following the thread.

Hope we get an equal turnout as last year or better.JR

If you can dig your way out of that Downeast snow a couple days early, you might consider a rendezvous at CJWA in Marlboro, Wednesday evening, the 14th. Doug and Ben, of infill infamy, are planning to be there, as well as a few other WC notables and maybe some West Jersey curmudgeons.

While you're there - take a drive down Colonial Parkway and just outside of "town" you'll see one of the largest and oldest white oaks in existence. Truly magnificent tree, kind of hard to miss. We collected acorns from it last year and the Mrs. is going to sprout them as a class project for her kids. That tree was putting out acorns when Jamestown was settled.

I had been planning on going to Williamsburg and even had made a reservation, but unfortunately a situation has arisen and I had to cancel. It's very disappointing.

Last year was a great time, I enjoyed both the D.C. get together and the conference, so hopefully, I'll be able to attend next year.

I'd highly recommend to anyone in the area that they try to make it to the breakfast get together, it's a great way to spend a Saturday morning, meet some fellow woodworkers and swap some lies, er, I mean stories.
