>Properly, an oiler feeds a felt wick that holds oil, and you need to oil the motor or other bushing only now and again. The Delta Homecraft table saw I scored (now in my son's shop, though he's stepped up to a Unisaw in the shop itself -- $50 at the dump!) uses a huge cotton diaper sort of thing wrapped around the shaft in a well between the bearings, and needs oiling about once a century.
