Yo! Ted

I know this is still in the shake down run mode but, is there going to be a "views" counter like on the message board? TIA Dave

Re: Ellis, you reading this?

Hello, Dave--

I was wondering the same thing. I find the counters helpful in narrowing which threads or responses to read. It also helps me get to learn whom to ask for advice.

I know Ellis' hands are full right now increasing server capacity for the flood of us Ponders. And the pond archives issue has to take next priority. What a sad and wasteful loss if they go into oblivion.

Last night, with the flip of a software switch, Ellis significantly improved the color coding of read/unread messages. Is adding a counter that easy?

Best, Ted

YES, A BIG THANKS!!!

Ellis and Ted -

Thank you very much for adding the "# viewed" feature. It is nice.

However, the former "read/unread" color scheme was a major challenge. This is a HUGE improvement so I want to thank you for that and the speed with which you made the adjustment. Now it's so much easier to see where I've been before.

And, Ted, thanks for staying on top of these things. I don't know whether these things are easy changes or not (since I know so little about electronics) but they make the site so much more user friendly.

Regards -

Dave

Re: Thanks, Ellis

Thanks, Ellis. I figured it was a Mozilla problem, set my prefs to override whatever the web page specified; but of course that applies to all web pages. So now I can turn my prefs off. Great work.
