If this means that you will not be setting up a separate forum (and I see no reason now either), AND you still want photos HERE, I might mention that Ellis is looking for someone to sort of take charge of the work that would be involved in posting photos ala the Pond. Ia m not volunteering you, just pointing out the situation and hoping someone with the required knowledge steps up.

I don't know what I'll do vis a vis building a forum, have a couple of ideas that might turn out to be interesting, particularly in the areas of design and technique. I'll be glad to help Ellis, will email him to see how to get involved and when (think he needs that server before accepting piles of images).

I tried to contact Bill a couple weeks ago for a tool auction, but he was in Florida at the time. He came back but might be away again. He works pretty steady with his mentor and that causes him to travel, too. I will call him tonight to find out. Since I haven't seen him post recently, I don't think he knows the news yet.

As for me, I would really like to thank the folks here for the generosity and hospitality they have shown in accepting us displaced souls whose pond will soon be drained. I tend to be more of a metalhead, but I dabble in wood, prefer hand tools and old methods, and I have a boat to rebuild, so I'll be around. I think I'm going to like it here.

I'm not ready to make the hyperlink just yet. Firstly the Pond doesn't close until 28 Feb and out of respect to Wayne, I will remain loyal to the Pond until the end.

Second, I am flat out studying in a work sponsored Masters in Project Management. We do three 4 week blocks of intensive lectures between 2 three month work rotations. Somewhere in there I have to do asignments and have a life.

The Infill Book will take second fiddle for a while. I will continue to liaise with a few people to keep things ticking over, but effectively there will be no new chapter releases until next year.

I'll lurk but you won't see me post again for sometime.
