OT- Trying to connect tablet to TV

Tom Norton

We have the HDMI cable and can use our laptop on our TV. So I have a Samsung Android tablet with a "C" type port. So I bought a cable that will make the connection between the TV and the tablet. But nothing happens.

Being tech challenged I am not sure what to do next.

Your help would be great!!

Thanks!

Make sure you have made the "input" selection on the TV ="computer".

Thanks for the replies!

After doing a bunch more reading and searching it has become apparent that I can't use an HDMI cable from this tablet. It is not compatible. I need to go with Chromecast.

I can connect my I phone and I pad to my tv using an adaptor to connect the hdmi to your device. got mine off e-bay for 6 or 8 dollars and it has a port to plug the charger into it to keep your device charged viewing on the tv. you should already have the charging cable . as mentioned you have to change maybe the hdmi port to match your device.

I'm no expert but it seems Samsung only supports using the USB-C port with a HDMI connection on certain models.
