I have never tried Brand X bags. I do like the bags. Less dust through the machine and cleaner to throw the bag away that to empty the vac.

When I am feeling particularly frugal/cheap. I have been known to cut one end off the bag to empty it and then reseal it with two sticks and some small clamps. You have to be careful, the bags are pretty fragile and easy to tear. I have been known to fix them with tape or CA glue. Did I mention I'm cheap?

I also have a Festool vac. I used a bag much longer than I should have and it was packed like a sausage. I was amazed it had continued as long as it ahd. Oddly, Festool bags don't seem a lot more expensive than the Rigid ones. They make a permanent bag but it comes at Festool prices.

Well, gas is cheaper and traffic is lighter now so driving 100 miles to save three bucks should not be a problem.

It is $15 dollars, how much cheaper would you like it to be?
