Lazy days on the farm

I've been up since 5 am. I spent some time reading the news and answering email then went out haul some hay then feed horses, llamas, turkeys, guineas, peacocks, and barn cats.
Next was marking and turning 86 guinea and chicken eggs in the cooler in preparation for incubation. A quick wipe down of the inside of the incubators and carrying water for the humidifier so tomorrow morning I'll be ready to start incubating the first batch of eggs for the season.
When the Farmer's Coop opened a quick trip brought home onion slips and seeds for the garden and two more blueberry plants which I proceeded to plant. While out I retrieved a package from the drive-thru window at the drug store. I appreciate them offering this service. I wore a respirator and gloves when out and sanitized everything.
Then it was time to work on the chainsaw #2 to clean, service, and install a new carbide chain. Since many people are staying close to home in these troubled times, I had volunteered to cut up some logs into green wood turning blanks for a planned safe delivery to some woodturners tomorrow so I did that next. This took just a couple of hours.
I then got the shotgun from the shop and shot at some crows. Since it was a good time for a break, I decided to come in for a bit of lunch. A few minutes to review the news and 15 minutes allotted to reading a few forum messages while consuming a sandwich and apple brings me to now, ready to pay some bills online and mix up a little more hand sanitizer to give away to those who are in need.
Next I'll head back out to lubricate and fuel and fire up the excavator and bobcat and take down a few trees to continue a dirt work project. I'm putting in a new driveway in preparation to build a small house for my disabled son.
Before dark I hope to spread 150 lbs of grass seed in one field. After dark I'll work on preparing some kits to give to turners to make some wig stands to donate to cancer patients. Even the horrors of the coronavirus have not stopped the need for wig stands.
I hope to get to bed by 1am.
I admit to being a slacker and resolve to be more productive tomorrow. Thanks for asking.
