Repairing Kitchen cabinet doors????
Barry Irby
A friend brought me a drawer from their kitchen cabinets to repair. It had one of the vacuum formed white plastic drawer fronts and the edges of the plastic were coming loose. I glued them back in place with CA glue. (The drawer box was made of plastic covered particle board and was broken at every corner, fixing the edges was an extra)
I asked him about the rest of the drawers and doors and he said many are delaminating around the edges. These are the MDF doors that are routed and shaped and then covered with a thin layer of plastic that is vacuum formed onto them.
So, any suggestions? The CA was a PITA and I am not sure it's the correct glue for this application.
